Cool as heck content, thanks for opening my mind up to this level of potential science. It would make sense if this all ends up true.

Amazing insight, thanks.

Woah, that is super interesting. Especially interesting they are still fighting to keep things classified after 40-50 years.

This actually happened? Pretty impressive

Typically I'm used to seeing news stories about tech from this year, 1964 is an interesting change of pace.

The “Real court documents, not a rant.” is the perfect closer and I applaud the inclusion...solid gold.

The advent of virtual reality enabled a test of a near century old hypothesis of deja vu's origin, that it can happen when an otherwise novel scene shares a spatial layout with a previously encountered scene that was not recalled. The first virtual reality investigation of deja vu found support for this hypothesis.

When people are experiencing deja vu while on a virtual tour of a scene, they often feel that they can predict the direction of the next turn that is about to happen, even when they cannot. According to their results, participants were no more likely to actually be able to tell the future than if they were blindly guessing.

The prescient feeling that sometimes accompanies deja vu is just that, a feeling. But it sure feels real.

This transcription covers the core experimental methodology and the study's central finding on predictive feeling versus actual predictive ability. Cleary's full body of published work includes 79 professional articles and three books on memory phenomena, available through standard academic databases.
